Still life of fruit, depicting a wicker basket with grapes and peaches, an oil painting on canvas signed lower right P. Euler (Euler Pierre Nicolas 1846 - 1913). French painter of still lifes of flowers and fruit. He studied at the School of Fine Arts of Lyon from 1860 to 1865 toghether with Jean Marie Reignier. He opened an own atelier in Paris in 1876. From 1875 he exhibited at the Salon of Lyon where he won a first medal in 1895; In the same year he started to exhibit at the Paris Salon where he won a medal in 1904. Museums: Angers - Clermon Ferrand - Lyon (Mus. Des Beaux Arts): La Saison des Violettes - Montpellier. The work is in excellent condition, first canvas, within a French gilded frame.
